Young, Called, and Chosen | Sharp Sickles 4Q 2025

People often describe today’s young generation as anti-social, lazy, irreligious, or even a nuisance. Many young adults still rely heavily on their parents for daily needs, and society sometimes sees them more as burdens than blessings.

But when we look at Scripture, God has always had great plans for the youth. Jeremiah was chosen as a prophet before he was even born. David was anointed to be king while still a young shepherd boy. And God continues to call young people today to do extraordinary things in these final days.

Consider Josiah, the boy king, who led Israel into revival. Young Daniel’s wisdom guided powerful rulers. Youthful Timothy became a respected church leader. Again and again, Scripture shows that when youth surrender their hearts to God, He works mightily through them.

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” (1 Tim. 4:12) Read on and be inspired by the testimonies of the youth.|
