Abraham’s example teaches us that living by faith often requires us to be pilgrims in this world, not getting too attached to earthly possessions or temporary dwellings. Our true citizenship is in heaven, and our hearts should long for the eternal city where God Himself resides.
Sometimes it can be easy to get caught up in the pursuit of material things, such as money, possessions, or status. However, Jesus reminds us that these things are temporary and will not bring true fulfillment. Instead, we should prioritize our relationship with God and seek His will above all else. We should be choosing God first.
