Heart Settled | Sharp Sickles 1Q 2024
Having our hearts set on doing God’s work is the very essence of spiritual fulfillment and purpose. When our hearts are aligned with God’s will, we find peace, joy, and contentment in serving Him and fulfilling His purposes on earth.
In Matthew 6:33 (KJV), Jesus exhorts his followers, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” This passage underscores the importance of prioritizing God’s work above all else. When we make seeking God’s kingdom our primary focus, everything else falls into place.
Furthermore, Colossians 3:23-24 (KJV) reminds us, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” This emphasizes the significance of wholeheartedly dedicating ourselves to the work of God. Whether in our careers, relationships, or daily activities, our efforts become infused with meaning and importance when we approach them with a mindset of serving the Lord.
When our hearts are settled in doing the work of God, we experience a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose. We become instruments of His love and grace, impacting the world for His glory. |
