That great joy of seeing one soul surrender his life to Jesus is of celestial resemblance. Angels experience it, “there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. “ (Luke 15:10) And Jesus feels it, “In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, ‘I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.’” (Luke 10:21)
All the challenges and hardships associated with soul-winning vanish in an instant when we witness a sin-stricken life change before our very eyes. This miraculous transformation deeply affects us and serves as an awe-inspiring manifestation of divine power, significantly strengthening the faith of the soul-winner.
That joy of seeing a soul saved is the very reason why Jesus “endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)
